The central street of ancient Afek had the same name every town in Roman empire as Lenin prospect in every town of former USSR empire. This is Cardo, traditionally the main street of a Roman city, usually running in a meridional direction. The length of the excavated part of this street is just over 300 m. Cart wheels tracks are visible on the stones, and on the right is a drain for rainwater. There are pedestals for traditional columns on the roadsides.
