Bastion's front

The fortress fence is a regular quadrangle, where four curtains connects the four bastions. Strengthening has a height of about 8 meters. The fortress is surrounded by a wet moat with sea water in which three ravelins are located on the north, west and east sides. On the south side there is no ravelin, since there is no need of it because there is a sea. Ahead of the moat from the western and southern sides the glacis with a covered path is preserved.
