Platform of the former temple of Rom and Augustus

In the foreground a lawn with vacationers is visible. In ancient times, this place was the inner harbor of the port. Directly above it, on a high platform, stood a majestic Greek-style pagan temple. It was beautiful. A few centuries later, the same majestic Byzantine octagonal cathedral stood here, then - a somewhat more modest mosque. Since the middle of the last century there are nothing stood here.
In the thickness of the platform and at its foot there were various port facilities, warehouses, workshops, etc.
