Fortress of Caesarea

The picture shows the northern part of the Crusader fortress wall, built in the middle of the 13th century with a dry moat in front of her. The fortress itself has been excavated for the most it part. Archaeological works here began in 1873 by Palestine Exploration Fund, and generally speaking, continues to this day.
