Commandant's house is seen on the left, on the right - Main wall wit prison cells windows. Commandant's House was built in 1775 for the commandant of the fortress and officers barracks. It also contained important prisoners, such as, for example, a cabinet minister Ehrenstrom or Colonel Aminoff, convicted for the murder of king Gustav III in 1792. In the basement of the building were death sentence cells. Unfortunately the building is not available to the public.
