Local attractions are: Church with ship models, prehistoric maze age of about 3000 years and Plague Cemetery of 1710. There is no school since 1983, but there is internet via an optical cable from the mainland.
The village experienced adversity and war: in June 1719 it was occupied for 2 days and then burned to the ground by Russian troops.
