Gun emplacement of the Central Battery
The emplacement of the 210mm St.Shamond cannon is shown in the picture. The guns themselves were dismantled by the Germans in 1942-43 and transported to the islands in the Skaggerak Strait, and an anti-aircraft battery was placed here instead.
