Old warehouses

This is the oldest surviving buildings of the fortress. It was built between 1674 and 1696. If necessary, it could be quickly converted into an artillery battery because the outer walls of the building are more than 4 meters thick. Initially, food was stored here for the fortress garrison, field army and navy in case of war. In 1734, a small prison for 27 inmates was equipped in the basement.
