Tøihuset can be translated as 'cloth house', which means that uniforms and a supply of cloth for military use were stored here. In addition, there were warehouses of shoes, equipment, and weapons. The building was completed in 1775 and had a usable area of ​​4000 sq.m. - the largest military depot in Norway at that time.
