Half a million bricks were brought to the island for construction; local materials were also used; fortunately, there was an abundance of granite on the island. In total, 120 people worked on the island. By the end of August, the three-story residential building was put under the roof. A powerful kerosene lamp ordered from Paris was installed in the tower at an altitude of 52 meters above sea level, and was lit on December 19, 1906.
