Hans Holtermann

Hans Reidar Holtermann was son of a doctor of the district hospital, he graduated from the Norwegian Military Academy in 1917 and began his career in the service of the General Staff. In 1923 he got a university degree in economics. He studied at the École Spéciale Militaire de Saint-Cyr in France. Since 1926 he was an officer of the General Staff of Norway and since 1930 - Chief of Staff of field artillery inspector and from 1937 - Chief of Staff 3-d artillery regiments in Trondheim. Also he was an author of several books on military subjects.
