Ivangorod, where is it?

It is just on the ancient Livonian (Estonian now) border of Russian Empire 150 km to the west of St.Petersburg city. The border is on it's old place after more than 500 years of turmoils and perturbations.

You can drive from St .Petersburg near to 1.5 hours to the west or from the Europe to the east. If you are Russian subject you will need to care about permit to the border zone. There were no any document inspection when I drive to Ivangorod, but Russia is a unpredictable country so you must be ready for all emergencies.
