Entrenchments

Two barracks and headquarters bunker at the top of the hill are surrounded by deep full profile trenches lined with stone. The trenches are equipped with dugouts and firing positions - more than 40 in total. Two hundred soldiers from the 2nd al-Husseini battalion (commander - Captain Suleiman Sailat) of the Arab Legion defended these positions.
