External fortification of the Citadel
On its outer side from the side of Teddy Kolek Park the Citadel has a peculiar fortification in the form of a low bastion lined with stone. The picture shows a wide rampart and a parapet with positions for riflemen. This fortification appeared under the Ottoman Turks.
