View downstream of the Coudron River. On the right are the slopes of the Temple Mount, on the left is the ancient Jewish cemetery, one of the oldest in Israel. It is need a great honor (and/or a lot of money) to be buried here. In Jerusalem, there is generally a problem with burying people and there is a catastrophic shortage of burial places, and therefore the local authorities decided to return to the ancient custom of burying people in caves. They say that somewhere under this cemetery a system of underground tunnels is being built for 20 thousand places, which should be enough for near 5-6 years.
