Western Wall square

Once upon a time this square was the location of the Arab quarter of Mugrabi, inhabited by immigrants from North Africa. To the Jews at the wall were given a passage only 4 meters wide. Immediately after the Six-Day War, this quarter was demolished in a couple of days, and now there is an area that can accommodate up to 400 thousand people. Entrance to the square is through metal detectors.
