Two unmarked graves near Jaffa Gate are on the photo. Old-timers say that these are the graves of two contractors, who built the city walls of Jerusalem for Suleiman the Magnificent. He ordered to behead them because they forgot to include Mount Zion in the city fortifications. But there is a version that they drew up an estimate for the extraction and transportation of new stones for the walls, but they themselves used stones from old buildings of the Roman and Herodian periods. The difference goes into their pockets.
