Assumption Cathedral - continued...

In 1641, the cathedral was painted by Lyubim Ageev “and his comrades.” Subsequently, the original painting was hidden under later layers and alterations, but in 2010, during a total restoration, the ancient paintings were rediscovered, and to preserve them, heated floors were installed in the cathedral.
