Assumption Cathedral (1496)

View of the monumental structure and Cathedral Square from the Gate Church of St. John the Climacus. To the right of the cathedral you can see the Vvedenskaya Church with the Refectory Chamber (where the museum and ticket office are now). The cathedral is surrounded by later extensions and additions; a turret was added to the dome in the mid-18th century.
