The Khlebennaya tower (closest in the photo) was attached to the pre-existing wall for its reinforcement, and the entrance to it was punched through the wall from inside the fortress. It has three tiers, but where they are is clearly not visible. Apparently it got its name from what was stored in it. The Povarnaya Tower was erected simultaneously with the Khlebennaya tower in the 1630s, but the current building dates back to 1761, when the previous one was dismantled due to its disrepair.
