Monastery back streets

To our left side we can see the Nastoyatelskiy (Superior's) Corps (1647-1648), to our right is the Kazennaya (Treasury) Chamber (16-17 centuries). The Treasury chamber, therefore, was appointed to store the monastery treasury and other valuable property. Founded in 1523, with the growing prosperity of the monastery it was constantly expanded; in the second half of the 17th century, a second floor was built. The building is reinforced on both sides with good brick buttresses; the monastery must have had a sizeable treasury in the old days.
