View from the museum window

In 1946, all museum staff included only a director and three guards. That was all. Since 1948, a slow restoration of the exhibitions began. In the mid-1950s, emergency work began in the monastery. Since 1960, they began to restore icons, and the first exhibition of ancient Russian art appeared in the museum.
