View of the Middle Tower from inside the fortress

The ceilings inside this tower now are made of rusty iron beams - traces of recent Soviet time renovation. In 1970, some scenes of Grigory Kozintsev’s famous film “King Lear” were filmed here, for which the old fortress was slightly restored.
