Entrance to the traverse of South mortar battery

All these batteries have different interior layout and design features despite the fact that they have been rebuilt in approximately the same time. Apparently, the design idea has not stood still, and there was a continuous development and search in Russian fortification construction. In the picture the entrance hallway with a quite curious carpet is shown.
