The building of water Tower was built in 1836-1839 and rebuilding in 1870 in the current style. It had two steam engines with a capacity of 8 hp each pump water out from the pool (under the low roof on the right) in a large pot on the top floor of the tower, from where it (water) was delivered to customers. In the foreground 'Sundial of World' is seen where anyone interested passer-by can determine how much time is two dozen cities around the world (in sunny weather of course).
