Italian pond

Italian pond

Sight of a frozen Italian Pond from Siniy (Blue) Bridge in Kronstadt downtown. On the opposite side you can see the building of the Dutch cuisine and rear leading beacon of Kronstadt raid on the western wall of Ust-Canal far behind it. Italian pond was nicknamed so because of the nearby 'Italian Palace', once owned by St. Prince Alexander Menshikov which was built by Italian architects.
