Rope manufacture

This is one of the first buildings of the New Admiralty, it was built in 1784 - 1786 in the eastern part of the Obvodny Canal, and was rebuilt in the 1820s. The building has a length of almost half a kilometer. In the old days it was the best rope factory in Russia and provided the Russian fleet of premium production. At present, the plant looks semi-abandoned, however it is still in guarded area.
