Gallery of the dome

There is a circular gallery around the dome. gallery has an authentic rusty railings are clearly distinguishable in the picture. Riveted steel huge thing in the foreground is the mobile scaffold to repair the dome. It is shaped like a semi-circle in the form of the dome, and after installation can roller with skate (seen in the photo) by special rail in the floor of the gallery. By the way: the inner diameter of the dome is 27 m., the height of whole Cathedral is 68 m.
