Submarine - the beginning

The a life-size model of first-born of the Russian submarine fleet. The project of the Russian general K. Schilder. It was built and tested in 1834. It's armament were: 6 powder rockets with a diameter of 100 mm and a mine controlled by an electric wire, mounted on a harpoon bowsprit. It was set in motion by the muscular strength of the crew, transmitted to four fins. Information about the combat use is not available. In 1841, the project was closed due to low expediency, and the boat was sold for scrap.
