On the way to Krasnogvardeisk

This Soviet one-floor artillery pillbox stands near the road Pijma-Krasnogvardeisk. It was equipped by 45 mm casemate antitank gun with 7.62 duplex MG. The name of it's commander was Mikhail Demin of 276-th OPAB (detached artillery-machinegun battalion). The bloody fighting begun here August, 23, 1941. The tracks of that events are seen on the surfaces of the pillbox.
