Malye Kolpany village

There was the powerfull strong point with 5 artillery pillboxes in the village of Malye Kolpany on the southern outskirts of Gatchina city. All pillboxes were camouflaged as sheds and summer cottages. September 1941 German tank troops tried to break forth to Gatchina in this place but were repulsed. September, 13 the garrisons of pillboxes got the order of retreat, because the danger of encirclement of Gatchina city. They destroyed all armament and equipment and retreated to Chimozy village.
