Zemljanoe Gorodische (Earthen Castle)
The picture shows Zemljanoe Gorodische (Earthen Castle) of 1584-85 construction, which is located to the south of the fortress. This is one of the first bastion's fortifications in Russia. Now - a nondescript mounds, overgrown with grass and bushes. Under the canopy is archaeologists messroom.
