Old town of Lappeenranta

Wooden buildings of Vilmanstrand of Russian rule times. This is house and shop of merchant Volkoff. Nowadays there is a museum of old life and a souvenir shop. Generally speaking, very little remains of the old Lappenranta, because during the Second World War, the city was heavily bombed by the Soviet Air Force.
