'Izhora' defense line

The defensive line of 'Izhora', part of which is this bunker, was built in 1943. The idea of its creation belongs to the head of the engineering troops of the Leningrad Front V.V. Bychevsky and the head of the engineering troops of the 42nd Army N.F. Krichevsky. It is a so-called 'second line' of the defense of the city from its southern side needed to be strengthened with solid machine-gun and artillery concrete bunkers.
