There are 25 families, mostly Swedish (Swedish Finns). The monument was established by victims' families from the village Larsmo, Vaasa province in 1993. The remains of the dugout are visible just behind the monument. There are a lot of trenches and artillery positions around the site with fresh signs of excavation.
