The building was badly damaged during of Soviet offensive in 1944 and was restored in 1956-1963-s. So called Dvoretz Pionerov (child organization) was inside of it after WW2. From the time of independence of Estonia the building is empty. As I've heard there is a project to move in it the city executive board. Copper crane as symbol of vigilance is fixed on the top of the broach.
