View to Kotlin Island

That artificial island was constructed with wooden piles and so called rjazes (wooden frame filled with boulders). The fort was connected by a dam with Kotlin Island early 1900s. In the foreground the concrete gun's emplacement constructed on top of old brick casemates 1860s are visible.
