From the east, a two-story building of 1463 with a passage arch adjoins the Chasozvona tower. The church was located in the room above the arch, now it seems to be a music school. The arch has a defiantly irregular shape. I just can’t believe that in Novgorod they couldn’t make a correct circular arch. There is something else here, apparently connected with a completely different worldview from our current one, a sense of purpose in life, an understanding of beauty and inner freedom...
