Towers of the Novgorod Kremlin: Dvortzovaya (Palace) and Spasskaya

The Palace Tower is on the right, Spasskaya is on the left. Further on the right, you can see a newly built wall facing Volkhov river. The towers have not survived here, and the wall itself was rebuilt in the 19th century without any respect or attention to historical realities - the new made wall is thin, only a meter and a half thick, with deep niches. Apparently they spare bricks. Or maybe corruption...
