СобCathedral of Sophia the Wisdom of God

A cross-domed, five-nave, ten-pillar, five-domed temple with a three-apse altar is its scientific name. It was erected by order of knjaz Vladimir Yaroslavich and Archbishop Luka Zhidyata in 1045-1050 and is the oldest medieval stone building in Russia. The picture shows a view of the remarkable structure from its southern side.
