Voevodsky yard, Kremlin (Novgorod)

Voevodsky yard

Voevodsky yard

More precisely, a view of the place in the southern part of the Kremlin, where the Voivode’s Court was located (1620s) from the “discreet chamber of the entire city.” As the name implies, it is the location of the Voivode (Tysyatsky) himself and his administrative apparatus. Nothing has survived to this day. But it’s worth climbing Kukui just to look at the great Volkhov river - it’s worth it.
