Defence gallery

Peculiar construction of gun casemates of the main Fort is seen. Bricked archways are seen on the right. Previously (before 1870), they were open and there were guns in casemates behind them. Now I'm standing on so called "fighting street", on my left the ditch is seen and then the wall of the defence gallery with rifle embrasures, through which, you can shoot the enemy seized the casemates with guns. So, it is the last line of defense of the Main Fort.
