In 1570 after Novgorod and Pskov cities's smashings Ivan the Terrible came to the Pechorsky Monastery. Father Superior Korniliy met him near the old gates and was slain in front of brethren's eyes by czar's own hand. The story say that Ivan the Terrible wept and cried after that and caught the bleeding body up and carried it down to the Uspensky Cathedral. And all the way was wet because of blood of holy man and repentant tears of atrocious czar. But I do not trust repentant tears of such a man as czars...
