It is long way from St.Petersburg to Porkhov by the bus. The trip could last up to 5 hours. There are the bus routes from the Pskov and Novgorod. So, a hitchhike for nothing is the best choice.
There is the railway road through Porkhov city to Novgorod and Pskov, and some passenger transportation must exist.
