This is the most remarkable and interesting installation of this fort and first-ever in the world installation of such type? as I know. The artillery position with armored breastwork was intended for 5 11-inch guns and was constructed in 1863. It has 190-250 mm thickness breastwork which was made in England (J.Brown & Co in Sheffild), our most probable enemies for that time. The battery delivered so called "dagger's fire" to the foes forced through the south sea road to Petersburg.
