Former inner harbor of the fort

There was once an inner harbor with moorings and two outward passages with cast iron drawbridges. The harbor was filled up in 1904, after that an explosives laboratory began working at the fort. The brick buildings depicted in this photograph were erected on top of the old batteries 1n 1904-6.
