Prison cell of the New Prison

In the fall of 1884, the first guests were brought here on barges from the Peter and Paul Fortress in St.Petersburg - Narodnaya Volya members convicted in the 'Trial of the Fourteen'. Among them was Vera Figner, who spent 20 years in solitary confinement at the New Prison. She left quite detailed memories of these years.
