The end of the prison in Shlisselburg

The prison history of Shlisselburg ended in February 1917. Commandant Zimberg surrendered the 'Russian Bastille' to the workers of the Shlisselburg gunpowder factory without a fight. On March 1, all prisoners were released. To commemorate this event, they set fire to the 4th prison Corps, which then burned for a couple of days to the delight of the rebellious proletariat.
