The arches are completely flooded. Another 30-40 centimeters up and water will rush inside of the fortress. For 300 years of the city’s existence, there were more than 3 hundred floods with a water rise of more than 160 cm above normal. Previously, these floods were much more destructive than in modern times, since the soil level in the city was much lower.
