Royal Gate

They lead from the fortress straight to the sea. Designed and built by Augustin Jerensward in 1752-54. Distinguished guests, accompanied by a cannon salute, had to arrive at ships directly to the gates of the fortress. Nowadays, a passenger steamer from Helsinki moors here (only in summer).
